Why is fast typing important for coding?

We are the teachers of computers and we are using our keyboards to tell them what they need to do. If we want to work faster we have to type faster. If you are writing 50 wpm (word per minute) and when you improve yourself and write 100wpm, you will write your idea 2 times faster. You will make fewer typos and focus more on the algorithm that you are writing. To be a programmer, you should be able to type without having to think too hard, but that doesn't mean that a fast typer is a good coder. It's just an advantage.

What is touch typing?

Touch typing is the technique based on writing with all fingers, knowing the location of keys. It's a good technique to learn.

How to type faster?

a. Sitting posture is important for typing.

b. Our left hand should start on A-S-D-F while our right hand should start on J-K-L-;

c. Don't look at the keys while you're typing.

d. Find shortcuts while writing code because shortcuts will help you more than you think.

e. Use the thumb of whichever hand is more convenient for you to press the Space bar.
