The Art of Evolving

How do you rate yourself compared to last year? Are you doing well? Are you slipping down? Whatever you feel about your journey, one thing you have to admit is that it’s “evolving”. You are not the same person anymore whether it’s good or bad evolution is taking place inside you.

I did my Master’s in Business Finance but I was bored of the numbers and calculations. I took a break and joined social work. I saw my future in helping the community and teaching kids. Did that happen? No. I had to pick Ph.D. over social work because I thought having a Ph.D. might help to reach my dreams faster. So the question is why didn’t I think about this before? Answer is simple: your thoughts “Evolve” by time.

I came to Turkey for my Ph.D. and I saw a beautiful country which I have only seen on TVs. I enjoyed my days in Turkey and I started writing about this country on social media. Friends commented, “Why don’t you start a Youtube channel and keep making content?” I felt like Why not? I am clicking good pictures, I am writing well then why not. Did I start a Youtube channel? No. Making original content and presenting it consistently was hard and I could not make it. So the question is why didn’t I think about this before? Answer is simple: your thoughts “Evolve” by time.

I work as an Operations Manager at Archi’s Academy L.L.C and this role itself was evolving. I am sure my role will change and other talents will lead the operations. One thing we always need to make sure that we should be better than yesterday. Are you more determined? Are you more composed? And most importantly are you learning? If you are struggling in your career, it’s okay. Never judge yourself so early it takes time. The road you have taken might not be meant for you. Life is not fully predictable; it is also filled with surprises and last-minute changes. Stay open for learning, stay composed.
