The short versionArtOne is a minimalist portfolio gallery built by an Archi's Academy trainee under their team lead's guidance. It is the simplest project we offer and exactly the right starting point if you want to see your first real site live on the internet.

Real, portfolio-ready features that hiring managers actually look for
ArtOne is a minimalist creative portfolio gallery. The site presents work through a clean, image-led layout supported by individual project pages, an about section, and a contact area. The deliberately constrained scope makes ArtOne the right introduction to professional web development: small enough to finish, polished enough to deploy and share with real recruiters.
The build follows a structured, beginner-friendly process modeled on real product workflows. The trainee starts with semantic HTML scaffolding, applies modern CSS for layout using Flexbox and Grid, and treats accessibility and image optimization as core requirements rather than afterthoughts. Throughout the project the team lead reviews each pull request, provides feedback on commit hygiene, and reinforces the habits that distinguish hireable junior engineers.
Deployment is part of the curriculum, not an afterthought. The trainee connects the GitHub repository to Netlify, sets up automatic deploys on push, and learns the same continuous-deployment loop used by professional teams. The result is a small but production-quality site that demonstrates the full workflow from local commit to live URL.
ArtOne is your introduction to working like a professional developer. You will learn the technical fundamentals (semantic HTML, modern CSS layout, image optimization, responsive design) and the workflow that surrounds them: writing meaningful commits, opening pull requests, asking for code review, connecting a repository to a deploy pipeline, and watching your work go live on the internet.
The soft skills you build here are foundational. You will practice asking your team lead for help at the right moment, reading other trainees' code with curiosity instead of comparison, and writing a README a stranger could understand. You will learn to receive feedback without taking it personally and to give it without sounding harsh. These habits compound across every project that follows.
When you finish ArtOne, you will not just have a deployed site. You will have proof that you can take a brief, ship a polished result, and move through the real workflow that every working web developer relies on every day. That is the starting point for everything else.
You will work through this project under your team lead's guidance. You begin by translating the brief into clean HTML, layer in CSS for layout and visual polish, and configure the GitHub-to-Netlify deploy pipeline. Your team lead reviews your pull requests and provides targeted feedback on structure, accessibility, and code quality. By the end, you will own a live, deployed portfolio with a clean GitHub history, and the foundational skills every later project builds on.
